Last week, I got to spend a lovely evening at The Mason Jar in San Francisco that’s owned by husband and wife team Pete and Hope Colling. The Mason Jar is a home goods store with a well-curated collection of everything from home decor to luxury candles and artisanal soaps to jewelery, coffee tables and the most amazing pillows. The store opened just last year in October 2013 and is located at 2149 Union Street. I joined an intimate group and the owners for a DIY Tea Time event to kick-off the launch of their DIY events. There were three different tea choices (green, black, and white teas) and mason jars filled with the loose tea to make your tea bags. We got a step by step overview on how to make our hand blended tea bags (and learned the best trick to seal the tea bag – a travel size hair straightener!) Check out the upcoming DIY events and in the meantime, spend an afternoon shopping for some fabulous items at the store!
So many choices of tea.
Hope explaining how to make your own tea bags.
Stamps to label your tea – Black tea.
